From the village of Methlick proceed north towards New Deer on the B9170. One and a half miles from the bridge over the Ythan, turn left at a sign "Hillhead of Ardo". Continue straight ahead past a bungalow on the right to a line of trees. At the trees turn right and then left at the end of the trees with a sign "Brownhill of Ardo". Park in the courtyard and the entrance is the green door.
